Buenos Aires To Southampton Aboard M/V Brasilia Star – November 1976
Here’s an excerpt from my diary about the voyage:
Wednesday 17 November
Arrived at the ship at 2.15 with Michelle, Daddy and Pippa. Had coffee with Adriana – thank God! We all said goodbye. No one left. All by ourselves in an old tin can.
Buenos Aires – 1976
With a borrowed Kodak Instamatic, I took a few shots near Retiro, just before we departed Buenos Aires on the Brasilia Star.
The All Blacks In Martinez – October 1976
The New Zealand All Blacks toured Argentina and Uruguay in October and November 1976, winning all nine of their matches. Some members of the team, Andy Haden, Stu Wilson, aka Nectar (Neekta) and others came to an asado at our house in Martinez and actually performed the Haka next to the pool!
In The Garden – Martinez 1976
In the summer we spent most of the time in this beautiful garden which had a pool, sauna, changing rooms, grapevines, a massive barbeque range, exotic trees including banana and Palo Borracho.
