According to Daddy’s CV (yes, I have a copy) he joined the Royal Navy as Midshipman in 1944 and left as a Temporary Acting Lieutenant in 1947, so I’m not exactly sure when this photo as taken.
He’s certainly wearing a Midshipman’s uniform and I also don’t know who his friends are.
